In My 2nd Period class, we have Elective. My elective was Engineering, and though we did many projects, I think our Diaster Proof House build was one of my better ones. IN this project, we had to pick a natural disaster, we choose Earthquakes, and a place, Indonesia. Then, with your team, we needed to create a model house that represents our design of a building meant to withstand a substantial earthquake. To help with supporting the house, we layered cardboard with popsicle sticks to show that the outer wall would be very thick. Then, we made inner walls to show our floorplan. We did have to have some basic things, like, 4 bedrooms and 2 baths. Then, the fun part. We got to make all the furniture out of cardboard and foam. And then we painted it all! When we presented it, we had to look up house prices in Indonesia, and it turns out you can buy a 4 bed, 2 bath house for only 60,000 USD!

I think that this showcases my best work because I worked really hard on it. This was one of the projects that we spent a lot of time on, and I really think that it was both fun, and educational. I think that this was the most thought out and detailed project that I did in engineering.
